Direct flights mean that the entire journey from the originating airport to the destination airport is operated by the same aircraft, with possible stopovers or direct flights to the destination without stops. Connecting services involve landing en route to unload cargo destined for a transit station. This mode of transport often takes longer, especially when there is cargo backlog and transfer queues at the transit airport, potentially leading to port congestion.
