Guangdong releases a three-year action plan: supporting Guangzhou and Shenzhen in building international shipping hubs, and encouraging logistics companies to establish warehouses in Southeast Asia
Guangdong Province has clearly stated its commitment to enhancing international logistics service capabilities by supporting Guangzhou and Shenzhen in building international shipping hubs and strengthening their global maritime services. It encourages shipping companies to form or join shipping alliances and promotes logistics enterprises to establish international distribution centers in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Latin America. Meanwhile, the province supports Guangzhou in developing a comprehensive, multi-functional international aviation hub and Shenzhen in building a location-based, integrated international aviation hub, expanding new international routes to densify the global transport network. With Qianhai as a key platform, it aims to attract international air and sea freight companies to gather and accelerate the development of a three-dimensional cross-border transportation system. Furthermore, Guangdong will deepen integration into the Belt and Road Initiative, expedite the construction of the Guangzhou China-Europe Railway Express consolidation center and Shenzhen's nodal city, build a South China regional network for China-Europe (Asia) rail services, widely promote the "railway + maritime" intermodal model, actively connect with the Western Land-Sea New Passage, and focus on opening new international logistics corridors radiating to Southeast Asia, comprehensively upgrading the level of its open economy.
