DHL Launches New China-EU Air Cargo RouteOn July 27, Fujian's first regular all-cargo air route connecting Xiamen Gaoqi Airport and Bangkok, Thailand officially entered normal operation. The maiden flight carrying electronic products and mechanical equipment departed Xiamen and arrived smoothly in Bangkok. Operated by Shandong Airlines, the route runs twice weekly, with extra frequencies available according to market demand. Outbound cargo mainly covers mechanical & electrical products and consumer goods, while return flights carry tropical fresh fruits such as durian. Supported by airport cold chain facilities, imported fruits can complete customs clearance rapidly and be distributed nationwide. This service marks Shandong Airlines' third Southeast Asia all-cargo route based in Xiamen, forming a two-way logistics channel for "Chinese manufactured goods export and Southeast Asian fresh produce import". Amid growing China-Thailand trade, the new route boosts air freight capacity from southeast China to ASEAN, shortens transit time and cuts logistics expenses for small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises. Industry analysts note that expanding all-cargo networks toward Southeast Asia will strengthen Xiamen's position as a key cross-border logistics hub serving ASEAN. The route helps Chinese manufacturers tap Southeast Asian markets and supports stable industrial and supply chains between China and ASEAN.
